通称：「1300スターレット」。CMなどでも「トヨタ・スターレット1300」ではなく「トヨタ1300／スターレット」とされた。カモシカ風のエンブレムを冠した最後のモデルである。ボディは2-BOXのハッチバックに転換、エンジンは先代モデルに用いられていた3K型の排気量をアップした4K-U型、72馬力へ変更された。

Known name: "1300 Starlet". CM and so on were not "Toyota · Starlet 1300" but "Toyota 1300 / Starlet". It is the last model to bear the antelope-like emblem.
