「もう一度、原点に還ろう！」というコンセプトのもと、オーバードライブ付4速ATなどの新技術が新たに開発されました。グレードもデラックス／スーパーデラックス／スーパーサルーンの3つが基本となり、バリエーションは 96から63種へと大幅に減らされた。
