ヨーロッパのモーターショーでは同時期発表の中型セダンであるシムカ・アリアーヌからのデザイン盗用を疑われたこともあるらしい。

戦中に飛行機を制作していた技術を使い、1951年に戦後初の高級国産車が出来たのがこのプリンス・スカイラインだ。

At the European motor show, there seems to have been suspected design theft from Simca Ariane, which is a medium sized sedan announced at the same time.

It is this Prince Skyline that made the first high-class domestic car after the war in 1951, using the technology that was making airplanes during the war.
